Who runs the trucks

Local iron.
Local crews.

Island Park Snow Removal Co. is the winter service line of McCloud Services LLC — a licensed contractor based in Island Park that works this caldera the other nine months of the year too.

Why that matters

Snow companies that
aren't here in July

Plenty of outfits will sell you a snow contract in Island Park. Fewer of them are based here, and fewer still have a reason to be in the caldera outside winter.

McCloud runs excavation, underground utilities, plumbing and septic work across Island Park and the Yellowstone–Teton corridor year-round. That matters for snow in three specific ways.

We already know where things are buried. Septic lids, water lines, propane tanks, leach fields, culverts — on a lot of these properties we put them in. A plow operator who has never seen the ground in summer is guessing where the edge of your drive is under four feet of snow.

The equipment is already here. Loaders and heavy iron sit in Island Park, not in Idaho Falls or Rexburg waiting to be trailered up US-20 after a storm has already closed it.

We are not going anywhere in April. Seasonal operators appear in November and vanish in spring. If something gets damaged, or a drive needs regrading after a hard winter, the same company is still here to put it right.

Where we work

Island Park and the surrounding caldera, plus the West Yellowstone corridor. We do not sell contracts for ground we cannot reliably reach in a storm.
